Join us for a 13-day guided hiking adventure of the Tour du Mont Blanc! This iconic trip covers the full route making the complete circuit!
SOLD OUTThe Tour du Mont Blanc, or TMB, is one of the most popular long-distance treks in Europe. Our route circles the FULL Mont Blanc massif which is the highest peak in Europe at 15,771 feet, covering a distance of roughly 110 miles passing through parts of Switzerland, Italy, and France. The TMB is considered one of the classic long-distance hiking trails. We will be hiking 6-8 hours a day through stunning landscapes. Our dates were chosen to allow us to enjoy the trail with less crowds after the busy summer season. The highest points on any variant of the trail are the Col des Fours in France and the Fenêtre d'Arpette in Switzerland, both at an altitude of 8,743 ft. This is not high enough to cause altitude sickness for most people, nevertheless the trail provides a tough physical challenge. Experience walking in mountain environments is important, because mountain weather can change very rapidly, participants on the Tour du Mont Blanc should be suitably equipped. What makes our TMB experience unique is that we do all the planning and logistics for you, plus each day is guided so you just get to hike and enjoy each day to the fullest. You get to “worry” about taking a million pictures, eating delicious food, chatting on the trail with your new hiker friends, and soaking it all in. TRIP DIFFICULTY: This trips is considered CHALLENGING. You will want to be in very good hiking shape for this trip. We will be hiking an average of 10+ miles per day, for 10 consecutive days, up and over mountain passes. The trip is vehicle supported with luggage transfers, so we are able to enjoy the wonderful scenery with day-packs. We will be providing a recommended training plan and will check in with folks on their fitness experience to help set you up for success.

THE TOUR DU MONT BLANC
The Mont Blanc massif (French: Massif du Mont-Blanc; Italian: Massiccio del Monte Bianco) is a mountain range in the Alps, located mostly in France and Italy, but also straddling Switzerland at its northeastern end. It contains eleven major independent summits, each over 13,123 ft in height. It is named after Mont Blanc - 15,774 ft, the highest point in western Europe and the European Union. Because of its considerable overall altitude, a large proportion of the massif is covered by glaciers, which include the Mer de Glace and the Miage Glacier – the longest glaciers in France and Italy, respectively. Geneva, in French Genève, is the capital of Genève canton, in the far southwestern corner of Switzerland that juts into France. One of Europe’s most cosmopolitan cities, Geneva has served as a model for republican government and owes its preeminence to the triumph of human, rather than geographic, factors. It developed its unique character from the 16th century, when, as the center of the Calvinist Reformation, it became the “Protestant Rome.” The canton of Genève has a total area of 109 square miles (282 square kilometres), of which seven square miles constitute the city proper.
