This evening is a two-part event: In Part 1, we'll show OUTLIER: Trust. After showing OUTLIER: Trust, Dani Reyes-Acosta and Nina Aragon, two subjects of the OUTLIER Episode 2, "Common," will hold a fireside chat and Q&A with Bend community leaders, Veronica Vega and Daicy Soriano Davila from Vámonos Outside, an organization that works to advance an inclusive outdoor culture in Central Oregon by providing outdoor recreation opportunities for the Latine/x/o & BIPOC communities. The conversation will focus on cultivating women's mountain leadership, sharing ways to create healthy, safe, and open communication along the way. We'll take an intersectional approach to this conversation, inviting participants to internally reflect on how their individual path has informed the broader role they play in their community--and the path that lies ahead. The Nature of Work
We are so grateful to Embark for providing the space for our Speaker Series.
Embark started as a dream for Ruffwear’s Will Blount and Patrick Kruse. In 2016, they realized the company was outgrowing their current space and they’d need to expand. Entrepreneurs at heart, they envisioned an opportunity to give back to the start-up spirit in Bend, and the idea of creating a coworking space to support up-and-coming companies, expose Ruffwear team members to new ideas, and foster community was born.
The doors open at 6pm and we will start at 6:30 pm!
