At AdventurUs Women, adventure doesn’t end with the fall solstice. Colder temperatures simply mean bundling up and layering with our winter staples. AdventurUs Women has the privilege of partnering with Swiftwick and providing our Escape attendees with our go-to staple sock every season but especially as our adventures turn more frigid.
Swiftwick’s Pursuit Collection offers a range of Merino wool socks made to fit snugly, wick moisture, and regulate body temperatures in any climate. Wool is especially important in colder weather as it traps heat and insulates the body’s natural warmth but also works to absorb moisture from the body to keep dry. Swiftwick socks are durable, soft, stretchy, and form-fitting for all-day comfort. With a variety of thickness and weights, heights, colors, and sizes, Swiftwick socks have an array to fit every need for all our Escapes. My personal favorite is the Pursuit Four, the perfect sock to layer over leggings for those muddy brisk fall hikes and keep me dry under my snow pants in the winter.
Swiftwick started in 2008 to fulfill a need for high performance moisture-wicking socks for mountain bikers. Since then, the company has grown to make socks for all-day adventuring of every kind and has also worked to uphold the values of community, sustainability, and quality.
Like the MiiR give code program, Swiftwick is committed to empowering those who may not have equitable access to adventure by supporting community organizations near their home base in Tennessee. Swiftwick’s 2021 community partners include Friends of Warner Parks which empowers youth to get outdoors and Oasis Bike Shop, an earn-a-bike program for young people to emerge with their own bike and the skills to use and maintain it. AdventurUs Women deeply admires this commitment to social and environmental justice and are privileged to partner with Swiftwick.
