Overview

NEW TRIP FOR 2023! This is a very special trip for us. Not only is the Tour du Mont Blanc a bucket list trip that everyone should do! This trip was life-changing for our founder, Saveria, and where she first met our guides Francoise & Karine back in 2016. The Tour du Mont Blanc, or TMB, is one of the most popular long-distance treks in Europe. The route circles the Mont Blanc massif which is the highest peak in Europe at 15,771 feet, covering a distance of roughly 110 miles passing through parts of Switzerland, Italy and France. The TMB is considered one of the classic long-distance hiking trails. We will be hiking 6-8 hours a day through stunning landscapes and experiencing what it is like to be on a dreamy hiking adventure where all the logistics are taken care of for you so all you have to do is enjoy the hiking, the views, the food, and the camaraderie. The highest points on any variant of the trail are the Col des Fours in France and the Fenêtre d'Arpette in Switzerland, both at an altitude of 8,743 ft. This is not high enough to cause altitude sickness for most people, nevertheless the trail provides a tough physical challenge. Experience walking in mountain environments is important, because mountain weather can change very rapidly, participants on the Tour du Mont Blanc should be suitably equipped. We will make sure you are well prepared! You will want to be in good hiking shape for this trip as we will be hiking for 10 consecutive days up and over mountain passes. The trails are well kept, but rocky in places. Boots with ankle support are needed and walking poles will be very useful. As the trip is vehicle supported we are able to enjoy the wonderful scenery with only light day-packs. We will fly in and out of Geneva for this trip.

THE TOUR DU MONT BLANC

Where Our Adventures Will Take Us

The Mont Blanc massif (French: Massif du Mont-Blanc; Italian: Massiccio del Monte Bianco) is a mountain range in the Alps, located mostly in France and Italy, but also straddling Switzerland at its northeastern end. It contains eleven major independent summits, each over 13,123 ft in height. It is named after Mont Blanc - 15,774 ft, the highest point in western Europe and the European Union. Because of its considerable overall altitude, a large proportion of the massif is covered by glaciers, which include the Mer de Glace and the Miage Glacier – the longest glaciers in France and Italy, respectively. Source: Wikipedia

Trip Tips

EXPLORE GENEVA

EXPLORE GENEVA

Geneva, in French Genève, is the capital of Genève canton, in the far southwestern corner of Switzerland that juts into France. One of Europe’s most cosmopolitan cities, Geneva has served as a model for republican government and owes its preeminence to the triumph of human, rather than geographic, factors. It developed its unique character from the 16th century, when, as the center of the Calvinist Reformation, it became the “Protestant Rome.” The canton of Genève has a total area of 109 square miles (282 square kilometres), of which seven square miles constitute the city proper.
