MEET YOUR GUIDES & TRIP LEADERS

Ingrid Granlin

Ingrid Granlin

Our lead guide, Ingrid Granlin, grew up Nordic ski racing in Smithers, British Columbia. Her love for winter and skiing started as early as she could walk. In college she began coaching kids then worked as a coach training facilitator, teaching community level coaches in BC and Alberta for the National Coaching Certification Program and Cross-Country BC. Eventually she realized her strengths lay more in technique instruction rather than coaching and gained her level III Canadian National Association of Ski Instructors (CANSI) certification and then became a level III Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) Instructor. Ingrid has taught as a professional instructor for over 20 years in Canada, the US and Switzerland. She currently teaches part time at Mt Bachelor Nordic, for various camps around the west and is the owner of Glide Nordic Ski School.

As an educator in a variety of fields over the past twenty years, Saveria has experienced first-hand the magic that happens when women come together to learn about and explore the outdoors, and she is passionate about bringing welcoming and exciting outdoor experiences to women who may otherwise not have the opportunity. GETTING THERE

GETTING THERE

Before you hit the road, we recommend taking a look at Trip Check, for timely updates on the routes to get here. We also recommend an AWD vehicle if possible. If you are coming from the Portland or Salem area, we are about 7 miles past the hoodoo ski area and 4 miles before camp Sherman. If you are coming from the bend or sisters area we are about 4 miles past the camp Sherman turn off. Curious about the weather? Camp Sherman is the closest weather reporting station.
